So, where did I leave off, oh right waking up to 6 half naked Croatian men in my room with me... how could I forget... actually though, I mean St Marks Basilica was pretty neat, sailing the coast of the Adriatic... ya pretty cool, waking up to this view - now THAT is what I will be talking about to everyone when I get home.
The tragedy, is that I didn’t get a chance to spend time with them. They all seems honestly genuine and fun. Would have been like 6 brothers and me I think.
That’s how it felt in the hostel. So, story is, two of them did not go out, the other four went out and did not return until 7 am! I thought they were waking up to get ready to go, also thought well they sure talked up this snoring but I didn’t hear anything... well, news flash the show hadn’t started yet... moments later the symphony began. One of the guys who did not go out shared in my laughter as he attempted to stop them lol I told him not to bother - this was hilarious and I was already awake.
I got ready and wished him luck with his crazy friends and their shenanigans - and I was off! Today I travel to Split!
Got myself to the bus station, onto the bus and spent most the journey deciding what my next few days/week should look like based on logistics... few things which have changed from my initial ideas. Everything is aligning though!
Once in split I made my way to my apartment - with my bags and now box (still haven’t figured out how to mail it internationally) I just wanted to relax. Bus journey always also a few hours so it was after lunch now.
I made it, and I couldn’t have chosen better. I went with an Airbnb here to get a break from public washrooms and male roommates. It was beautiful. Patio overlooking the ocean, master bedroom and a second bedroom with bunks, beautiful living room and small kitchen. This was like my ideal apartment I want to buy in Calgary!?
I turned the ac on immediately and stood in front of it for about 15 minutes. Then relaxed before going out to get something to eat for the night. I grabbed a selection of meats and cheese and a few interesting sweets. Walked along the beach to check things out and made my way back to the apartment. I ate and then did nothing!! Finally, some silence.
